THE PILBARA

PARDOO STATION

Pardoo Wagyu Corporation was formed to purchase Pardoo Station in 2015.

The station forms the epicentre of a vision for the first purebred Wagyu community in Western Australia’s northwest. It is a vision that is creating a reliable, safe and secure supply of ultra-premium Wagyu beef for discerning domestic and global markets.

Now trading as Pardoo Wagyu, we are a vertically integrated genetics to plate company invested in the region and firmly believe in creating a purebred Wagyu herd driven by the dedication of authentically caring for our animals, our environment and our people, in the pursuit of the ultimate unique wagyu experience, merging the remote, inspiring flavours of the Pilbara and the Kimberley, in Western Australia, with heritage from Japan.

THE PILBARA

PARDOO HOMESTEAD

Pardoo Homestead, located at the original site of Pardoo Station with a heritage to 1865, has retained many of the attributes that make it a tranquil spot for anglers, birdwatchers, holiday makers and families providing a real haven amid vast landscapes between Port Hedland and Broome.

Managing 130 caravan park bays and 70 short stay rooms, our passionate Hospitality Managers provide a warm welcome with many repeat visitors showing the popularity of this spot.

Based in the Perth hills the Shogo Takeda Genetics Centre is where the genetics selection takes place under the watchful eye of our seasoned specialists. 400 bulls are raised in the idyllic temperate climate conditions at the start of our supply chain.

 

THE KIMBERLEY

LEOPOLD DOWNS AND FAIRFIELD STATION

The remote Kimberley region of northwestern Australia was one of the earliest settled parts of Australia, with the first arrivals landing about 40,000 years ago from the islands of what is now Indonesia. It holds rich black alluvial soils from the Ord River valley, wild coasts and seas, islands, deserts, sandstone hills and gorges, mangroves, rainforests and savannahs. It goes back to 1,830 million years ago with rock formations contributing to rich soils.

Our breeding properties in the Kimberley at Leopold Downs, Fairfield and Mowanjum Stations provide the ideal climate and breeding requirements for the early stages of our Wagyu development. A highly specialised team ensures the daily care of our herd as they complete the breeding segment of their development.
